I went down the hill to the valley and boy are you hot down there! We on the other hand are very chilly. We walk the Village on Pine Knot and get to snuggle up to outdoor fire pits and take in the beauty of the changing of the colors on the trees. We get to put on our flannels, our comfy clothes and walk around the village. Next week is Halloween! Our Big Bear community closes down the Village so the kids are safe and get to trick or treat with everyone in one area. Young and Old really enjoy this evening in the Village. Snow Summit has a pumpkin carving contest this Saturday. Also, Bear Mountain Resort has free pumpkins tomorrow starting at 10am. I just got back from driving around and the beauty is overwhelming! We don't need to live on the East Coast, we have our own Fall colors here! The trees are just illuminated. It's amazing how they stand out and it looks like a shining light is just shining on them. It's just breathtaking! Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, Erwin Lake, Fawnskin are the areas that you need to look into! Come and visit soon! We love having you all up here.
